A vacuum cleaner for men. With bold lines and intuitive function, it aims to break the sexist stereotype that connects women with cleaning. Its refined yet rigid form portrays a sense of quality and precision not commonly present in everyday handheld appliance design.
This project was undertaken to stretch my knowledge at the time of CAD modelling and rendering software, specifically Rhino 3D and Vray.
Process: Collaborative market and anthropometric research. Ergonomic mockups and automotive clay form study. Final CAD model and form development in Rhino 3D and renderings in Vray.
*Unfortunately CAD files and most photos were lost in the tragic death of a hard drive :(
Completed in 2011 - Massey University.
